 IGNOU simplifies Exam Form submission

Considering the lockdown period, the Indira Gandhi National Open University has removed the pre-requisite of submission of assignments to submit exam forms. However, students must commit and give assurance to submit the assignments well before the exam. Students can submit exam forms by using smartphones by following the simple sequence. 
  • Open the URL  http://exam.ignou.ac.in/ on your mobile using any of your installed browsers.
  • A page with general instructions will appear; Read the instructions and tick the declaration at the end of the page.Press PROCEED TO FILL EXAMINATION FORM button.
  • In the next page Enter your PROGRAMME CODE, ENROLLMENT NO., & EXAMINATION CENTRE REGION from the drop down menu.
  • After entering you will land at the main form filling area where you have to enter your personal details , Examination Centre Code where you wish to write the exam. Then, select the Programme codes from the drop down menu for which you wish to write the exams. The courses for which you have already passed will not appear in the drop down menu. 
  • At the end of the form you will get an option whether you have submitted your assignments. Due to the ongoing lockdown all over the country, the default assignment submission status is set to 'YES' , so that learners do not face any problem in submitting the exam form. 
  • Click the SUBMIT button at the end of the form. The assignments should be submitted at the respective study centres within 15 days from the date of lifting of Lockdown in Andaman & Nicobar Islands. 
  • After submission you will land at the confirmation page. If anything needs to be edited you can press the BACK TO EXAMINATION FORM button to edit or simply select the bank gateway and press the PAY NOW button. It is to be noted that there are two gateways provided by IGNOU for payment i.e IDBI & HDFC Bank gateways. Students may click any one of the HDFC or IDBI Bank options to make payment from any of their credit/debit cards of any bank. 
  • On Clicking the PAY NOW button you will be directed to the Transaction page. Note down Transaction Reference No. and proceed to Payment Gateway by clicking the MAKE PAYMENT button.
  • Make the payment using your debit card/credit card/net banking option and wait for the confirmation page. Do not refresh or go back from the page during the transaction. 
  • You will get an e-receipt after submitting the form on your screen (take a screenshot), E-mail on your registered email ID and a confirmation SMS on your registered mobile number
Before filling up the exam form, students must keep the IGNOU Student identity card hady for the correct enrolment number.  Check theor tentative exam dates from the link http://exam.ignou.ac.in/termenddatesheet/StudentDateSheetRport.aspx to avoid any date clash.  Keep the Credit/debit card for instant payment.  It is to be noted that since the internet connectivity in Andamans is slow during morning hours, learners are advised to fill the online exam form during night.  The last date of submission of online Exam form is 30 April 2020.
