IGNOU Regional Centre Celebrated Constitution Day

IGNOU Regional Centre Port Blair has celebrated the Constitution Day today in its premises. Floral tributes are paid to the portrait of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar, Chairman of the Constitution Drafting Committee. Senior Regional Director, IGNOU Regional Centre-Port Blair Dr. S. Raja Rao conveyed the greetings to all the staff and addressed the RC Staff. 

In his address Dr. Raja Rao recollected the contribution of Dr. Ambedkar and the time taken for preparing the world’s longest and most exhaustive written Constitution and explained the salient features of the Constitution. Dr. Raja Rao administered the Preamble of the Constitution to the Members of the Staff and Students. He urged them for upholding of the values enshrined in the Constitution.  Dr. Nurul Hasan, Assistant Regional Director and all the Staff have participated in the Constitution Day programme at Port Blair.
