IGNOU Student Services through ICT

During this lockdown period, to reach the distance learners, the Indira Gandhi National Open University is extensively using Information & Communication Technology (ICT) to provide academic services.  The Regional Centre-Portblair is teaching the students through email communication.  It is linking the SMS alerts with email communication. Thereby, the possibility of reaching the students is doubly ensured. Nearly 5000 communications were sent in last one week. IGNOU Student Services through ICT is growing in ANI and reach Diglipur to Campbell Bay. The methodology to access E-study material, video classes, TV class, Radio class , website services etc. are briefed to students through both SMS as well as email. Students are advised to make use of all such academic facilities for enrichment of subject knowledge. More numbers of emails are now being received from students at rcportblair@ignou.ac.in. In other words, the shift from 'Voice Call' to 'e-mail' communication has been increasing day-by-day.  As constructive utilisation of lockdown period, many students have been involved in QUALITY improvement in assignment preparation activities.  Thereby, a high score in Assignments for maximum number of students is expected. All students are advised to check their email inbox regularly to receive IGNOU's important communications.
